Join RISOTTO’s Poster Club as part of the RISO CLUB 100 programme: a big, friendly, hands-on print night designed to show the magic of Risograph in the most accessible way possible.
Expect bright inks, loads of paper options, and a generous bundle of prints to gift, wrap, wallpaper, or turn into paper crafts.
At your fingertips we’ll have pre-prepared patterns, grids, timeless motifs, typography and hand-drawn textures to pick, mix and layer. We’ll start with a quick intro, then you’ll build your own stack using rotating artwork elements exposed on multiple riso drums; as inks and designs change, you’ll choose papers, stack layers, and respond in real time. No design or print experience needed, and you won’t be staring at a blank page, just composing fast with a room full of folk doing the same. It’s quick, social, and brilliantly variable; even with the same ingredients everyone’s bundle comes out different.
The Session Will Cover…

You’ll get a quick intro to Risograph printing, then we’ll jump straight into making. We’ll show you how the night works: how the drums rotate, how to pick paper, and how layering behaves as inks and designs change. From there you’ll build your own prints using a rotating selection of RISOTTO house patterns, iconic motifs, typography and hand-drawn textures exposed onto multiple riso drums. You’ll leave understanding the process properly, because you’ll have seen the full thing happen live, in a room full of prints.
What To Expect

Poster Club is a social workshop evening with a lot of movement and a lot of printing. We provide the materials, paper options, and gentle guidance, and you get to play with composition and layering without pressure. Because the artwork elements rotate throughout the session, you’ll be responding in real time and building a stack that’s completely your own. It’s ideal if you’re new to riso, but still fun and satisfying if you already know the process and just want a creative night out.
What You’ll Need

Nothing but you.
No design experience needed and no laptop required. Wear something you don’t mind getting a wee touch inky - but it's low risk :)
If you want to bring a tote bag or folder to carry your prints home, that’s handy.
Who It’s For

Anyone who wants a playful, low-pressure creative evening. Designers, non-designers, beginners, print nerds, pals, and curious humans. If you want to make something with your hands and leave with a stack of colour, you’re in.
Workshop Outcome

You’ll leave with an extensive bundle of colourful printed matter, created by layering multiple RISOTTO artwork elements across a range of paper colours. It’s ideal for gifting, wrapping, sticking on walls, making notebooks, or keeping as a joyful archive of experiments. Because the paper and layering choices are yours, every bundle comes out different.

We don’t get to run Poster Club often; the last one was a few years ago, and we’re bringing it back specially for RISO CLUB 100, alongside the exhibition of 400 postcards spanning 100 issues. You’ll see the process up close, learn how layering and colour really behave, and leave with a generous stack of prints that feels like a reward. Tickets are non-refundable up to 30 days before the workshop. After that, we can offer a transfer to another person, but we can’t guarantee refunds. We will have a wait list open.
