Online Shop Coordinator & Stationery Maker
RISOTTO is not just a print studio. It’s a celebration of ink, colour, and a passionate team who love making. From our Glasgow studio we create risograph-printed stationery with playful, joyful energy, and we care just as much about the human side too, through warm service, thoughtful details, and parcels that feel like special treats when they land.
Over 13 years our work has travelled far: we stock with retailers like Selfridges, deliver workshops and activations for brands like Pinterest, and ship to a brilliant community of print lovers worldwide who share our passion for sustainable stationery and joyful design.
We’re looking for an Online Shop Coordinator and Stationery Maker to take ownership of all production flows, and to support an exciting programme of workshops and artist-led events launching in mid April 2026.
This is a hands-on, pivotal role for someone who thrives on organisation, craft, and care, keeping the webshop running smoothly, orders beautifully made, and every customer experience feeling unmistakably RISOTTO.
What you’ll be doing:
→ Product making + quality control: Make and assemble RISOTTO stationery with care, spotting and fixing any presentation issues before orders go out.
→ Stock + supplies: Keep Shopify and physical stock accurate, order packaging/supplies with the Print Technician, and flag low stock early.
→ Deliveries + stocktakes: Receive and check deliveries, chase any problems promptly, and support regular stocktakes with tidy, logical storage.
→ Fulfilment + shipping: Pick, pack and ship daily orders, keeping the packing station and labelling systems clean and efficient.
→ Inbox + customer care: Handle shop enquiries, returns and updates in a warm, clear, solution-focused way that matches RISOTTO’s tone.
→ Studio + events support: Keep key studio zones organised and support events/visiting guests as a friendly brand ambassador (occasional evenings/weekends may be required).
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
Essential Skills:
→ Warm, clear communicator: Friendly, confident written communication with a solution-focused customer care mindset.
→ Organised, systems-led operator: Loves processes and tidy workflows, comfortable learning software and troubleshooting when something’s off.
→ Hands-on maker with a sharp eye: Practical, detail-obsessed, proud of quality control and presentation when making and packing products.
Desired experience:
→ Creative background + Adobe confidence: You’ve got a good design eye and can handle basic Adobe (Photoshop/Illustrator), working neatly with templates and files.
→ E-commerce ops experience: You’re comfortable in Shopify and understand the day-to-day reality of fulfilment, stock accuracy, and keeping orders moving.
→ Small brand energy (plus marketing bonus): You’ve worked in a studio/indie brand/D2C world and can support product launches and simple shop marketing (Klaviyo/Adobe Express a bonus), with any riso knowledge a nice extra too.
Logistics
→ Based in: RISOTTO HQ, Glasgow (in-studio)
→ Contract: Fixed-term, part time (3 days per week) circa March 2026 - June 2027
→ Salary: £26,000–£30,000 FTE, based on experience (£15,600–£18,000 pro rata). Pro rata holiday, staff discount/benefits.
→ Key dates: closing date for applications, 18th January 2026. Interviews are likely to take place early February.
Access and physical environment:
Our studio has stairs, and this role involves daily post and moving parcels up and down them. It’s a hands-on job with lots of packing and handling boxes, within safe working practices. If you need reasonable adjustments to apply or do the role, let us know.
