Our latest series of wall art is inspired by Play, and this mesmerising riso edition is a feast for the eyes. Inspired by the ornamental designs and visual motifs that are deeply ingrained in the tradition of playing cards. Many decks featured intricate back patterns and symbols that are as iconic as they are crucial to the gameplay, and I wanted to celebrate the fusion of decorative Vs elemental, through colour, suit, and rank.
This graphic composition revels in the rhythmic patterns and movement synonymous with casinos, and the contrasting geometric shapes are decked out with a bold and Bauhaus colour palette.
