This RISO CLUB archive edition features four original risograph artworks from Cologne, curated by Thomas Heinz.

Each Postcard Set is printed by hand using layered colour separations and rich soy-based inks on recycled paper. Each design explores the playful textures and colour overlays unique to risograph printing.

Featured artists:

Born in a small town in southern Germany, near the Swiss border. Did a carpentry apprenticeship there. Studied at the Fachhochschule for Communication Design in Würzburg. Studied at the Australian National University School of Art and Design in Canberra for a year. Postgraduate studies at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne. Traineeship in WDR graphics at the television. Founded Studio FLACHBILD in Cologne with the two fellow students Alexander Lorenz and Gido Martis. Recently also designer and illustrator for various companies. Lives in Cologne.

Anita Kolb was born in Memmingen in southern Germany. After vocational training as a printing plate manufacturer, she studied communication design in Würzburg. She lives in Cologne with her daughter, husband and dog and works as an illustrator and graphic designer for magazine layout.

Sabine Dully studied Communication Design in Trier and worked as an art director for ten years after her diploma. In 2017, she founded the creative company "Dully&Dax". Together with Eva Dax she creates books, apps and media for children. Their books have been translated into more than 20 languages, adapted as stage and radio plays, and have won several awards. In cooperation with Ahoifilm, Sabine furthermore developed her own TV series "The Musifants", which is already broadcast in 86 countries worldwide. Under her label „DullyDully" she designs colourful riso prints and whacky characters.

Sabine von Riewel is a german graphic designer and art therapist born near Cologne. She studied visual communication/graphic design in Aachen and Seville and worked for over 15 years for various publishers and agencies in Cologne. Later she studied art therapy at the Alanus University in Alfter. Recently moved to Würzburg, she works there in both professions. As nature and its forms inspire her, she loves to hike with a sketchbook in her pack, the beautiful shape a shadow can create and exploring new materials and techniques.
