Matt King is interested in subjective perceptions of the visual language of symbols. Through collecting colloquial signage, monumentalizing incidental situations, and exploiting small rifts between intention and perception, he looks to signify larger cultural and philosophical concepts. This extends into his work as a musician, lyricist, and visual strategist in the band, Absolutely Free.
